Hi I’m Nerilee Saraci and with my husband Steve, own Maker’s Leather Supply Australia. I’m a Hobart based leather artist and leathercrafter dedicated to ensuring that leathercrafting continues and grows.  I love introducing newcomers to the wonderful world of leather.

After meeting Aaron & Janie-Sue Heizer of Maker's Leather Supply at the Rocky Mountain Trade Show in Sheridan Wyoming USA we immediately saw the potential in bringing their products to Australia.   After a visit to Maker's Leather Supply  in Elm Mott Texas we were welcomed into the Makers family and Maker’s Leather Supply Australia was born. 

I originally started working with leather out of  neccessity. Owning  & working  heavy horses,  we found new harness hard to find and expensive, so bought old harness, pulled it apart, worked  out how it was made and restored back it to working condition.   Re-lining  several collars and repairing  lots of harness gear I loved every minute of the process.   After  a course with a local saddler to learn saddlery and an introduction to leather tooling, my passion for leather crafting was born.

We  regularly attend  Dimensions in Leather Conferences in Brisbane and have  travelled to New Zealand for the Leather Artisans Conference and  USA for workshops at the  Rocky Mountain Trade Show in Sheridan Wyoming and Elktracks Studio in Venus Texas. 

We aim to supply products and materials that are a high quality and not easy to find.  We want to help you to improve, create better products and keep leathercrafting  alive and growing.
