These straps are cut from Wickett-Craig English Bridle and Harness Sides. The leather is beautifully finished with a slightly waxy and smooth grain side, and also gummed and smooth on the flesh side. It is perfect for tote handles, purse straps, and especially beautiful belts.

W&C Harness Leather is tanned using an exclusive blend of waxes, oils and tallows, this leather has been hot stuffed to bring out its inherent beauty. Through a traditional process called jack glazing, oils are brought to the surface to create a glossy finish that doesn't mask the leather’s natural grain.
The Buck Brown is 8-9 oz 3.2-3.5 mm and will need to be lined or stitched if using it for a belt, if for a strap it should be fine as is.

This is the nicest, most professional looking leather I have seen.
With minimal effort my belt looked like something I might buy in a store and I take no credit for that.
After using the wickett and craig leather I've found it very difficult to go back to a lower quality leather. My tooling has depth and boldness, a quality the cheaper leathers don't afford, not to mention my tools feel easier to use on this leather. My swivel knife and edge beveller glide through with no friction which I often get with cheaper leathers.
A Pleasure to use and I will be buying more in the future.
